Aiden and Lydia were high school sweethearts, but after Aiden left town to become an FBI agent, their long-distance relationship didn't really work out. The two broke up during one of Aiden's visits and, shortly after, Aiden's brother and sister in-law died. Aiden, at 20 years old, then became the guardian of his 3 year old niece, Lena. Years later, Aiden and Lydia reconnected one night during a party at his parents' house. He walked her home and one thing led to another. After their passionate night in bed, Aiden was gone the next day, back to his everyday life. Though she was a little heartbroken, Lydia tried to forget and move on... only to find out that their night together resulted in her getting pregnant. In her attempt to forget about Aiden, however, Lydia started seeing Marc. Sure, he was great at first, but there were two issues. One, he found out she was pregnant before she could even tell him and assumed the baby was his and two, he slowly started to become more possessive and his tendency to lash out in anger scared Lydia into not correcting him. Over the months that followed, he's become more abusive and she just wants out. Now that Aiden has moved back to town, she can finally come clean and get that push she needs to leave Marc.
